Step-by-Step
How to Create Lookalikes in SAM
Step 1 – Go to "Audiences"
From your SAM dashboard, select Audiences → Create New Audience.
You'll see two options:
- Customer List — your original seed audience
- Lookalike Audience — your new predictive audience
Step 2 – Upload Your Customer List
Upload your CSV file or connect an existing audience within SAM. The system automatically validates your file and previews key data points before processing.
Step 3 – Configure Lookalike Parameters
Select your source audience, name your new Lookalike, and choose similarity or size:
- 1–3% → more precise, closer match
- 4–10% → broader reach and discovery
SAM instantly calculates your estimated audience size.
Step 4 – Review and Create
Review your details, click Create Audience, and let SAM's predictive engine do the heavy lifting. Your new Lookalike will appear in the "My Audiences" panel.
Step 5 – Activate or Export Anywhere
Your Lookalike is portable, ready for activation on:
- Meta / Facebook
- Google / YouTube
- TikTok
- CTV
- DSPs and data partners
